Terry Rinehart • Vice President
Rinehart, who has worked for a major airline as a jet engine mechanic since 1986, has been a longtime family friend of the Peñas. He first met Pastor John Peña through another nonprofit organization and was interested in helping out in missions and ministry work in Latin America. He also met the family matriarch, Mita, after whom Mita’s Foundation is named. Rinehart fondly remembers how she loved all her friends and even cooked delicious ceviche for him. He later met the rest of the family and was impressed with their giving nature, caring spirit and philanthropic causes, both globally and locally.
He became a volunteer and eventually a board member of Mita’s Foundation because he wanted to continue Mita’s legacy of helping others in need. Rinehart has been able to travel frequently to deliver toys, school and medical supplies, clothing and other donations to the impoverished and underserved villages in Peru. He has also done missions work in Argentina, Colombia and Africa, and helps at retreats and conferences in Belize.
Terry met his wife, Luz Marina, a Peruvian native, while on a mission trip in her country. They have been married since 2017. Their son, Ethan Manuel, was born in 2023.
